Sue Coles Personal Statement I have always loved 'making' and at 9 years old I clearly remember deciding that I wanted ART to be my future! It has been a constant in my life, although my career has been as a Nursery teacher with the huge joy and privilege of sharing with young children as they explore and learn. When my own children were small I worked from home as a freelance prop maker for BBC TV. I learned resourcefulness and inventive thinking. Now I am retired from full time teaching I can spend more time on my own work. My City and Guilds Creative Embroidery course was brilliant and now I'm working alongside others to develop my own style further. I still love to share creative ideas whenever I can with children, friends and especially my granddaughter Hannah.
